TEAM
MR M NOLAN
ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING/ SLT CAREERS LEAD

Through our curriculum offer and school careers programme, we intend to raise learners’ aspirations by equipping them with the knowledge and tools to flourish in further education and employment. We create an environment that builds well rounded individual and life-long- learners who are able to make valuable contribution to society.

I am excited to collaborate with colleagues to set the careers strategy and embed careers across the whole school.
MRS T RANN
CAREERS & TRANSITIONS COORD\CAREERS LEAD

I support the learners of Rivermead to prepare and transition for life after year 11 and beyond. I enjoy building some fantastic relationships with the learners and their parents/carers. I am passionate about helping young people realise their potential and help them to move on to the next stage of their life. I am very keen to make sure both learners and their parents/ carers are aware of the options available to them and involved in decision making at every step to reduce any anxieties they may have.

You can find me in the pastoral hub on Tuesday and Friday, or in the PR room at MidKent College on a Monday.

KIRSTIE BOTTIGLIERI
PROGRAMME COORDINATOR FOR RIVERMEAD PARTNERSHIP (POST16)
At post-16 we focus on the vocational pathways that can lead on from a successful completion of our learners study programme. We are interested in how we can shape our learning to be more work ready in all areas and work closely with the college to ensure we are striving for high aspirations for our learners. We have previously organised visits/talks from professionals working in key sectors- a zoo keeper came in to visit our animal care learners and shared his journey to employment in Howletts, Australia zoo and now Cheetah Conservation in Somalia.
CHRISTINE MURRELLS
INDEPENDENT CAREERS ADVISER
I am the Careers Guidance Practitioner for Rivermead School and post 16. I provide impartial, independent advice and guidance and will be speaking to you in year 11 and 12 on a 1:1 basis or in small groups about what you would like to do after you leave school or college. I will occasionally be working with lower years and providing groups work sessions and attending events.
DAVID HOPKINS
CAREERS LINK GOVERNOR
As a Careers Link Governor, I am responsible for overseeing the strategy, action and review of careers education across the school.

Some of my work includes reviewing practice to ensure there is a coordinated approach to careers and the implementation of the Gatsby Benchmarks, working with SLT/designated leads to explore impact of the career provision, and reporting back to the Governing Board on how the school's careers education programme is contributing to the school's strategic priorities.
