MR M NOLAN
ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING/ SLT CAREERS LEAD

Through our curriculum offer and school careers programme, we intend to raise learners’ aspirations by equipping them with the knowledge and tools to flourish in further education and employment. We create an environment that builds well rounded individual and life-long- learners who are able to make valuable contribution to society.

I am excited to collaborate with colleagues to set the careers strategy and embed careers across the whole school.

MRS T RANN
CAREERS & TRANSITIONS COORD\CAREERS LEAD

I support the learners of Rivermead to prepare and transition for life after year 11 and beyond. I enjoy building some fantastic relationships with the learners and their parents/carers. I am passionate about helping young people realise their potential and help them to move on to the next stage of their life. I am very keen to make sure both learners and their parents/ carers are aware of the options available to them and involved in decision making at every step to reduce any anxieties they may have.

You can find me in the pastoral hub on Tuesday and Friday, or in the PR room at MidKent College on a Monday.

CHRISTINE MURRELLS
INDEPENDENT CAREERS ADVISER
I am the Careers Guidance Practitioner for Rivermead School and post 16. I provide impartial, independent advice and guidance and will be speaking to you in year 11 and 12 on a 1:1 basis or in small groups about what you would like to do after you leave school or college. I will occasionally be working with lower years and providing groups work sessions and attending events.

Tracy Bromley-Waugh
CAREERS LINK GOVERNOR

Rivermead Staff Governor- Post 16 and Careers
I was appointed Staff Governor for Post 16 and Careers recently and am very much enjoying my new role. I am very keen to be involved with the schools ongoing development both as a school Governor and as a TA at Rivermeads Triple R provision.
Prior to becoming a staff member at Rivermead, I worked with care leavers in Medway. My position as an outreach support worker was to support young people to access further education, employment and housing, as well as support young people with additional needs with individual care plans.
It was both challenging and rewarding to work in this role, but seeing the outcome of support you have given, empowers individuals to build essential life skills, achieve independence and positive well-being is extremely rewarding.
I am also a parent of a child with SEND and have great passion to support other children with addition needs to reach their full potential.
